What’s Brewing by Turf Café follows the amusing antics of the title characters; Sarith Shersha - Owner of the Turf Café - A young, playful, and adventurous man in his early 40s and his sardonic buddy Vincent Van Gogh, who resides in Turf Cafe and is depicted in the wall paintings.
The comic strip, which is set in Turf Cafe, shows the owner’s recurrent ruminations and friendship with Van Gogh. It also looks at his interactions and views with his business, the brand, teammates, and particularly their customers. The strip's defining element is Van Gogh's dual nature: to the Turf Cafe Owner, he is a
real-life anthropomorphic character, but to everyone else in the strip, he is represented by his self-portrait paintings that are displayed on the walls.
The series also explores broad topics such local and global political scenarios, global warming, public-education, and philosophical conundrums but does not typicallyreference any individual political personalities or current events. Although Van Gogh frequently shows a better awareness of repercussions than the Owner, he doesn't often interfere with the Owner's actions beyond a few veiled cautions.
The primary dynamic of the comic strip is the camaraderie between the two characters.
